Memoria Artística Chema Alvargonzález is pleased to inform you that the “¡Volar! 100 años en el cielo” exhibition will be taking place from the 22st of June 2019 until the 1st of September 2019 at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid (Spain). The event is organized by the Fundación ENAIRE in collaboration with Círculo de Bellas Artes as part of the Photo España 2019 Festival.
2019 marks the 100th year anniversary of commercial air transportation in Spain. This show presents historic photographs that span from the first flights —used to transport letters and the first passengers— to our time, in which aviation has become a basic element of communication.
The exhibition also explores how aviation continues to be a theme of inspiration in artistic photography by mixing unknown photographers and internationally acclaimed artists such as José Manuel Ballester, Chema Alvargonzález, Alberto García-Alix, Antoni Muntadas or Raúl Urbina. Their works take us to us to the origins of commercial air transportation in Spain and have witnessed the social evolution that it entailed.
Memoria Artística Chema Alvargonzález se complace en informarles de la exposición “¡Volar! 100 años en el cielo" que tendrá lugar en el Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid desde el 22 de junio de 2019 hasta el 1 de septiembre de 2019. El evento ha sido organizado por la Fundación ENAIRE en colaboración con el Círculo de Bellas Artes en el marco del Festival Photo España 2019.
2019 marca el centenario del transporte aéreo comercial en España. Esta muestra presenta fotografías históricas que abarcan desde los primeros vuelos —utilizados para transportar cartas y los primeros pasajeros— hasta nuestro tiempo, en el que la aviación se ha convertido en un elemento básico de comunicación.
La exhibición también explora cómo la aviación sigue siendo un tema de inspiración en la fotografía artística mezclando fotógrafos desconocidos y artistas de renombre internacional como José Manuel Ballester, Chema Alvargonzález, Alberto García-Alix, Antoni Muntadas o Raúl Urbina. Sus obras nos llevan a los orígenes del transporte aéreo comercial en España y han sido testigos de la evolución social que ha supuesto.
