The approach of this project of public sculpture mainly starts with the idea of establishing a relationship with a space, creating visual links with this one and with the inhabitants of the place. Interfering the minimum in the transit of the walkers but remarking the passage of the night and the day it is created spontaneously and daily a union with the piece. Thus, the maximum aspiration of this artistic object would be to merge with its surroundings, so that it finally becomes a sign of identity of the municipality in which it is located, identified by its next spectators.
This is a project of subtle sculpture, of sculpture whose spatial occupation in the territory is minimal leaving free the passage by itself to the Spectator, who can thus walk under it. And yet it is defined as a formal presence in the physical space that occupies through the shadow that she draws. The one that will change throughout the days and the seasons, modifying at the same time the presence of the sculpture in the pavement and in its surroundings.
The structure in its central part will host an automatic system that triggers a blue light neon that at night illuminate part of the work, giving the piece a double reading: daytime (with the projection of its shadow on the pavement of the square) and the night (when the light that she generates happens to complete the night landscape of the city).
In its form it will evoke basically the concept of a knot, of something which is intertwined. As it happens in the different territories by which we move freely, through these invisible links that unite the localities located in the same geographical portion, also implicitly speaking of coexistence.
El planteamiento de este proyecto de escultura pública parte principalmente de la idea de establecer una relación con un espacio, creando lazos visuales con éste y con los habitantes del lugar. Interfiriendo lo mínimo en el tránsito de los paseantes pero remarcando el paso de la noche y el día se crea de forma espontánea y cotidiana una unión con la pieza. De este modo, la aspiración máxima de este objeto artístico sería la de fusionarse con su entorno, de manera que finalmente se convierta en una señal de identidad del municipio en el que se ubique, identificado así por sus espectadores próximos.
Este es un proyecto de escultura sutil, de escultura cuya ocupación espacial en el territorio es mínima dejando libre el paso por sí misma al espectador, que puede de este modo pasear por debajo de ella. Y aún así, se define como presencia formal en el espacio físico que ocupa a través de la sombra que ella dibuja. La que cambiará a lo largo de los días y las estaciones, modificando al mismo tiempo la presencia de la escultura en el pavimento y en su entorno.
La estructura en su parte central alojará un sistema automático que accionará unos neones de luz azul que por la noche iluminarán parte de la obra, dándole a la pieza una doble lectura: la diurna (con la proyección de su sombra en el pavimento de la plaza) y la nocturna (cuando la luz que ella misma genera pasa a completar el paisaje nocturno del municipio).
En su forma evocará básicamente el concepto de nudo, de algo que se entrelaza. Tal y como pasa en los diferentes territorios por los que nos movemos con libertad, atravesando esos lazos invisibles que unen a las localidades ubicadas en esa misma porción geográfica, hablando también implícitamente de convivencia.
