DER UNTERGRUND

Solo Exhibition

Gallery Kunst Büro, Berlin (Germany)

From 19/11/1992 to 06/12/1992

The installation “Unterground” is realised with different images representing daily scenes of Berlin’s Underground. These photographs images are mounted on window glasses and illuminated by neon fragments of different geometric shapes installed behind at a close distance. The windows are leaning against the wall on the opposite side of the existing gallery windows. A sound of flying bees around their beehive joins the room installation. The work recreated the increased tension in the city of Berlin after the fall of the wall. The reflections between the windows of the gallery and the ones supporting the photographs draw the observer’s mind into the reality of everyday’s occurrence (daily life).
