26 Young European artists were nominated to participate in the INITIALE 92 by renowned DOCUMENTA IX. The artists-students were chosen by its professors who teach at European Art Academies. The professors wrote texts on the working methods of their students and gave interpretations of the pieces of art: beyond the indirect description of the relationship between lecturer and student, a valuable insight into the situation at European Art Academies.
Chema Alvargonzalez was chosen by professor Rebecca Horn in Hochschule der Künste in Berlin.
